Our Story
shana is a brand born from legacy: sculpture as jewelry, jewelry as art. It is an evolution of the Basbous family’s story — a story of art, expression, and the impulse to create and preserve. It is not merely a continuation but a reinterpretation of a rich heritage passed down through three generations, from grandfather to father to daughter.
The story began in the 1950s with the visionary sculptor Michel Basbous, founder of the open-air museum in Rashana, Lebanon. His creative spirit lived on through his son, Anachar Basbous, a sculptor whose work breathes life into stone, metal, and wood. His daughter, Shana Basbous, the creative force behind the brand, grew up immersed in this world. She was raised in a home where art wasn’t only admired, it was lived. Sculpture was not a distant marvel, but a daily presence: a language spoken, then learned. Shana observed, absorbed, and slowly internalized her father’s language. In time, she redefined it to make it her own.
Yet, when she stepped beyond that world, the art stayed behind, and a piece of her lingered in the confines of her home, galleries, and museums. Instead, she chose transformation: to wear the art, to let it breathe with her, move with her, speak with her. From there, her vision crystallized: to carry the legacy forward by reimagining the sculptural language of her family. Through her vision, sculpture escapes its pedestal and becomes part of every aspect of life — a quiet companion, a piece of home, a piece of her. And now, a piece she offers to others.
The embodiment of that vision is shana — a translation of, and an ode to, legacy. shana is the transformation of monumental art into wearable sculpture. It is a bridge between the grand and the intimate, the powerful and the delicate, where art is no longer confined to galleries but carried into the world, one piece at a time. Through shana, sculptures that stand proudly in public spaces now also flirt with your skin.
Moved by her father’s large-scale works, Shana Basbous reimagines them as sculptural jewelry. Limited to only 21 editions per design, shana captures the essence of each sculpture by preserving scale and form. shana pieces are art embodied in jewelry — sculptures in motion that fuse with your body, rhythm, and movement, becoming part of your story. Each sculptural piece stands for rarity, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty.
The debut collection, Nayzak, captures the essence of celestial wonder. Inspired by shooting stars and cosmic journeys, Nayzak transforms fleeting light into precious metals — gold and silver — holding within them the mystery, power, and brilliance of the universe. Each piece, like a meteor tracing the sky, leaves a mark, embodying both movement and eternity.
shana is where heritage becomes presence, and sculpture becomes skin.
Anachar Basbous
Born in 1969 in Lebanon, Anachar Basbous was raised in an environment steeped in art and creativity. Son of renowned sculptor Michel Basbous, he grew up in Rachana, a village transformed into an open-air museum where monumental sculptures blend with the landscape. His artistic journey began early, sculpting his first piece at the age of 10, and later refining his craft in Paris at ENSAAMA, where he specialized in architectural design and sculpture. Over the years, his works have graced public spaces and private collections worldwide, reflecting his mastery in stone, metal, and wood—a language of form, balance, and movement.

Before being transformed into jewelry, these sculptures by Anachar Basbous stood — bold, grounded. Their forms continue to speak, now not only to space, but to the skin.
